ANALYSIS OF NAND GATE BASED PHASE FREQUENCY DETECTOR FOR PHASE LOCKED LOOP

Abstract
RF IC technology is increasing there is a need for PLL to operate for higher frequencies on the
other hand there is a need for low power consumption. Proposed Phase frequency detector (PFD) design using
NAND gate which consumes significantly low power as well as considering the different parameters namely
rise time and slew rate over different temperature variations. slew rate is ranging from 44 v/ns to 30 v/ns at
65ĖšCelsius &rise time is fluctuating from 23ps to 56ps.

Key words: phase frequency detector, power and slew rate.
