AUDIO FINGERPRINTING ENHANCEMENT

Abstract
The human voice has some very distinctive features. This distinctiveness is the reason we can easily identify the people whose voice we have previously heard. Like the fingerprint we can use voice as a biometric so as to form an authentication system. To implement such a system we can capture the distinctiveness of the voice of a human through audio fingerprinting. In this paper we discuss two of the mainstream approaches to audio fingerprinting and propose an enhancement that we can use to improve this system. We discuss the Shazam and the Philips approach and we signify how our approach is better than these two. Also we illustrate the use of this kind of system for a particular scenario. Here we provide unique insights to make the system as precise as possible.
