PREDICTION OF KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS USING MACHINE LEARNING

Abstract
Knee Osteoarthritis is a very common musculoskeletal disease among adults, which occurs in 10% men and 13% women whose age is over 60 years [20]. It leads to physical disability and limitation over activities. Detecting this as early as possible can slow down the osteoarthritis degeneration and prevent total joint replacement surgeries. Radiologists examine the knees based on their experience and suggest remedies which may be risky for the patient. In this paper, some of the papers for OA prediction are briefly elaborated with techniques like Deep Convolutional Neural Network, Gradient Boosting Machine [1] ,YOLOv2 [6] , Joint space narrowing [9] , KL grading [23] , fourier filter etc. All of the papers utilise raw radiographic data. Each paper has its own technique for detection and produces the best results.
