ROLE OF AUGMENTED REALITY IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Abstract
The nationwide closure due to COVID -19 has placed unprecedented challenges on the community of teachers, educational institutions, parents and to the government. During these times the Digital Learning has been enabled by using several online technical platforms like Google Classroom, Microsoft teams and zoom. With the development of ICT in education, online Video-based micro courses, graphics, animations, games and e-notes are making learning especially, language learning more accessible, engaging and contextualized. In this scenario, language learning through Augmented Realty (AR) in virtual environment has bought a new normal situation to the digital natives and digital immigrants. The purpose of this paper is to provide how best the learners can develop English Language learning with a practical introduction to the capabilities of usingAugmented Reality (AR) in virtual environment. The Initial part of the paper provides an insight of recent developments and some of the apps used or using in this field. Later part the discussion is about how best English language learning process can be speed up using AR in virtualenvironment in Language learning process.
