Detection and classification of crack in heritage structures using Machine Learning Techniques

Abstract
Crack is one of the most important surfaces damage to the monuments, concrete structures, buildings, and roads. Manual inspection of damages is a very difficult task and time-consuming. Measurements of crack irregularities are difficult and need for more expertise. So, automatic crack detection using image processing is developed. The detection of crack requires careful attention to the following issues: crack length, width, multiple cracks, location, orientation and depth. The proposed method provides the detection of crack, classification and recognition of crack decay. Performance parameters are measured using MSE and PSNR. It is classified using SVM and Validated. The accuracy, Specificity and Precision of proposed methods are 92%,90% and 91% improves than Existing method.
