The development of animated video on story based questions for solid geometry topic to support assessment in junior high school

Abstract
Purpose: This research was aimed at developing daily test media by using Adobe Flash CS6 for
the topic of solid geometry with flat surface for the eighth-grade students Junior High School. Methodology: This
research used research and development method (R&D) while its development model used ADDIE. The validity
and feasibility of this media were firstly tested by a media expert and a material expert before being implemented
to learning practitioners and students to find out their response and its effectiveness. Results: The result showed
that the media was appropriate to be used as Mathematics daily test media for the material of solid geometry with
flat surface based on the validation of computer expert and material expert. The validation done by a material
expert obtained an average score of 3,58 which was included in the 'very valid' category. The validation done by
a media expert obtained an average score of 3,27 which was included in the 'very valid' category. The validation
done by the learning practitioner obtained an average score of 3 which was included in the 'valid' category.
