  • Abstract
    The article is devoted to the problems of theory and methods of teaching Informatics, the discipline "Musical Informatics", which is taught in the institutions of primary, secondary and higher levels of professional musical education in Russia. The research is aimed at solving an important problem of pedagogical science - overcoming the formalism of knowledge of students. In this context, the authors analyze the experience of teaching the discipline "Musical Informatics" in our country and abroad, current trends in the development of this subject area, identify ways to improve the operational knowledge of teachers of music disciplines in the field of information technology on the basis of the course "Musical Informatics".

    Key words: informatics, information technology, musical informatics, musical education, overcoming of knowledge formalism, teacher of musical disciplines, formalism in knowledge of students.
