A STUDY ON FLASH TEAMS WITH DUE EMPHASIS ON PEERFORMANCE APPRAISAL OF EMPLOYEES AT INDIGO AIRLINE SERVICES

Abstract
The activities involved in HRM function are pervasive throughout the organization. Managers, typically spend more than 50 percent of their time for human resource activities such as hiring, evaluating, disciplining, and scheduling employees. Performance appraisal is essential and to describe it as a collection of HR practices designed to enhance employees’ competencies so that employees can be a reliable source of competitive advantage. Outstanding services has become a core constituent of airlines, they are continuous determined to create a core competence in order to sustain and grow in this competitive environment. With regards to flash or task force team within airlines mostly forms the cabin crew who might be engaged in their services with distance mode of their superior as their team schedules are different and mostly their performance of their duties will be on board rather 9 to 6 timing at a single location. It is more challenging for the supervisor to evaluate their performance from a remote mode, and most of the times an in-flight supervisor will be monitoring their performance on a daily basis or through monthly performance reports This article empirically analyses about the performance appraisal of flash team with due emphasis on Indigo Airlines.
