INFLUENCE OF SELF ACTUALIZATION ON JOB INVOLVEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AMONG ACADEMIC LEADERS WITH STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODELING

Abstract
Background: In today‟s scenario, the employers are much keen about their employee‟s retention as the cost of training and orientation is higher than the recruitment cost. For that they are trying create a kind of emotional bondage with the company and the former is possible only through creating Job Satisfaction, Job Involvement and Organizational Commitment (Gopinath, 2020 a). These three factors are mutually dependent and one cannot be attained without the other, so the recent researches are much focused on these factor and they are looking for a common factor which may influence all the three factors. Self Actualization refers an individual‟s intention to attain his potential.
Methods: In this paper the researcher attempt to study how this Self Actualization influences Job Involvement and Organizational Commitment and will it is really useful to enhance those things. The research was conducted with Academic Leaders and the sample size 186 was selected using Purposive Stratified Random Sampling technique.
Findings: From the results structural equation modeling the researcher find significant influence of Self Actualization variables on Job Involvement and Organizational Commitment of Academic Leaders.
Conclusions: As the Academic Leaders lead the employees with care, the employees not only would enhance the Job Satisfaction, but also show their Organizational Commitment.
