FACTORS AFFECTING EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT OF STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISE EMPLOYEES IN INDONESIA

Abstract
Some previous studies have shown that employee engagement is comprised of three main factors: leadership, organizational culture, and compensation. This research seeks to elucidate the influence of these three factors on the employee engagement of workers in state-owned companies in Indonesia. The research involved 293 state-owned enterprise employees chosen through simple random sampling. Multiple regression results show that compensation—the factor that most Indonesians believe to be the most influential in employee engagement—has the least influence for the employees of state-owned enterprises in Indonesia, as compared to organization culture and leadership.
