EVALUATING INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP PRACTICES AND CULTURE ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT IN VIETNAM COMMERCIAL BANK

Abstract
This study focuses on testing the relationship between organizational culture, leadership practices and organizational commitment in six Vietnam commercial banks. This study built items belonging to collectivism and factors of leadership practices affecting three factors of organizational commitment for proposed research model. This research used a quantitative research method for testing relationships among factors in the research model through the questionnaire. The result of study show that collectivism has a positive relationship with employees‟ affective commitment and negative relationship, between the leadership practice of challenge the process and affective commitment of the staffs of Vietnamese commercial banks. The major findings show bank managers, to a great extent, engaged in five leadership practices, including model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act, and encourage the heart. Among these leadership practices, enabling others to act and encourage the heart and the most outstanding practices.
