SPECTRAL EFFICIENCY AND DATA RATE MAXIMIZATION IN 5G

Abstract
In the modern age, fast networks are very important to meet everyone’s needs. To reduce energy consumption in 4G we are considering 5G.To satisfy the subscriber needs, bandwidth resources of network should be efficiently used. To maximize this Spectral Efficiency in 5G we propose an optimization algorithm that maximizes Spectral Efficiency by allocating power optimally at the base stations. In this algorithm we calculate large scale path loss attenuation for desired or interfering channel and compare it with Large-scale path-loss threshold to decide whether user is connected to outdoor base station or indoor base station. After selection of user we use water-filling-like algorithm to allocate power optimally to the base station by using Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions. After getting optimal powers we calculate energy and spectral efficiencies by considering fixed bandwidth using these optimal powers. Thus simulated results give for better Spectral Efficiency by having optimal Power allocated to base stations.
