OPTIMIZATION OF SHRINKAGE AND POROSITY OF A713 CAST ALLOY

Abstract
The current demand on the productivity of metal casting processes for high quality A713 casting
components are continuously increasing due its vital applications. Moreover, the cost optimization
considerations necessitate meticulous and reliable planning with computer simulation software of the entire
casting process before it transforms into desired product. A holistic approach to perform cradle to grave analysis
of A713 cast products is Auto cast simulation-based metal casting. This approach allows engineers to check
valve of A713 Cast alloy model, verify, and validate the process followed by its optimization and performance
prediction in virtual reality. This research paper provides insights on state of the art in Auto cast simulationbased metal casting with reference to some industrial case studies. Auto cast simulation models and solution
methods, and metal casting process simulation together with the results obtained clearly explained that pouring
temperature is an important consideration
