SIMULATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERACTION BETWEEN HUMAN HEAD AND CELLULAR HANDSET

Abstract
The influence of electromagnetic radiations on human head with respect of 0.935 GHz, 0.960 GHz, 1.810 GHz and 1.880 GHz is investigated using specific anthropomorphic mannequin (SAM) phantom model. Different components (electric and magnetic fields, power flow, conduction current density, power loss density, electric & magnetic energy densities, specific absorption rate and far field patterns) are obtained by making use of finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The obtained results show an epic variation in electric field (13.3%), magnetic field (3.95%) and power flow (24.36%) when exposed to variation of operating frequency in 900 MHz. This further brings together the radiation effects and also increases the harmfulness of electromagnetic radiation to near periphery of head tissue when SAR kept to the
0.1 g. The standard results may vary if mobile handset brought near to base station so power can be varied.
