A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW AND EVALUATION OF DISTRIBUTED DEEP LEARNING ON CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS

Abstract
Artificial intelligence has been in the boom in the last few years and this has led to the growth of machine learning and deep learning. Deep learning is applied for many crucial complex applications like medical data analysis, image analysis, and autonomous driving cars which need timely accurate predictions. For better results, the size of the training data and the network complexity have increased with a larger number of layers and parameters. The growth of data and network is beyond the computing power of a single system and this led to the need for a distributed solution. In this paper, we give a brief introduction of the distributed deep learning techniques, infrastructure requirements, algorithms, challenges faced, and the future scope in this field. The cloud-based disturbed platforms are also explained. The main open-source deep learning frameworks are compared in this review paper.
