    Abstract

    Fever serves as a crucial defense mechanism for the body, signaling t he presence of infection or inflammation. While it can be uncomfortable, fever plays a vital role in promoting immune response and inhibiting pathogenic growth. Understanding its mechanisms, causes, effects, and appropriate management can help individuals navigate through episodes of fever with greater confidence and ease. KEY WORDS: Flu, cold, urinary tract infections, Tb, Rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory Bowel Disease, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, encephalitis, abscess, tissue damage , inflammation and metabolic rate.
